About my photos and me
I have loved travelling, animals and photography for as long as I can
remember. On my first trip to Africa (Botswana in 1994) I also
developed a deep love for the African bush and wildlife. Since then I
have been to Africa many times, travelling extensively in Southern
Africa and East Africa.
I attended the Field Guide and Advanced Birding courses at
EcoTraining
and took several wildlife courses at
WildlifeCampus.
In November 1999 and May/June 2003 I worked as a camera operator for
AfriCam's "Virtual
Game Drive/Safari Cam" in
Djuma Game Reserve (South Africa), and in 2007 I worked as a guide
in Zambia.
Although I live in Denmark, I spend as much time as possible in Africa
where I can combine my three passions - wildlife, travelling and
photography.
All my photos were taken with Nikon SLRs (F801, F80, D70s, D80, D300 and D700)
and a variety of Nikon and Sigma lenses.
Until 2005 I took slides, so most images on this website are scans of
prints made from slides.
Since 2006 I take digital photos.
All photos on this website except for the orangutans are photos of wild animals.
The orangutans are rehabilitated orangutans and their offspring that were photographed in the rainforest or orphaned orangutans at OFI's Care Centre in Pasir Panjang, Borneo.
